WEIGHT LOSS MYSTERY

I injured my back 2 weeks ago...so much pain I just ate whatever since I could barely move...meaning I did not work out either...I even stopped logging my food...
Today I went to weigh myself, expecting to see some kind of weight gain...AND I ACTUALLY LOST WEIGHT. Approximately 2 pounds...
WHAT GIVES? It seemed like I was losing less eating 900 to 1200 calories burning about 800 on the elliptical EVERDAY!!!
OK...that being said, I am VERY grateful that I did not gain...and I cannot wait to hit the gym again (learned to LOVE that elliptical)...
but...
WHAT THE HECK??? Am I eating too few calories at 900-1200?
Thank you in advance!

Could be. I actually started losing better when I stepped up my calories\carbs a bit when moving from purees to solids.0

Could be. I hate to admit that I still haven't figured it out and I've been sleeved for 2 and 1/2 years! Either I'm really stupid, totally slow, or just haven't found the right calorie level yet.0
