I am really loving cooking and making recipes with the new changes in my life....I have made some good grub and some not so good...but overall not bad.
What's been some of the great recipes u all have made or created.

Ahhh cooking! I have a love/hate relationship with it. When I have time I do love it...but during the week when everything is very "go, go, go.." I try to keep things simple.
I love chicken parm. I make a healthier version by just baking the chicken in a glass pan with sauce. Once its cooked I put low fat cheese on it and serve with whole wheat pasta. Its super easy and fast so I love it for during the week. Plus the leftovers are great for lunch the next day.0 -
Chicken Parm is good....try using grated parm with it instead of low fat cheese....that pregrated stuff is pretty good for me on calories v. cheese. I then use a light swiss too.0

I have loved everything I have tried from SkinnyTaste.com so far. She does a good job of lightening things up.
EmilyBites is also a good one.0 -
Excellent suggestions. I will have to give them a look!
I personally try to make my own recipes. However, I do find that I can not get past going over my sodium macro. Even when i dont cook. I know drinking more water helps offset, but for crying out loud, when i sit at my desk all day its next to impossible to get that much water in (and out).0 -
You'll get there. It's been 5 years for me and I still have days where I go over on the sodium, especially dinners out!
I don't follow recipes for anything other than baking. I'll get ideas from cook books/magazines, but I reduce/leave out/add to the dish whatever I want. I have to watch the hubs too, he's allergic to mustard (prepared, powered, and seeds).
My favorite dishes are anything Mexican/Tex-Mex, stir frys, pastas (for him, I am not a fan of pasta) and cookies.0
