I think I finally decided.

I know I have posted about this multiple times. I currenlty EP and pump 4 times a day and have been trouble deciding how long I want to continue. My son is 12.5 months and has been on bm except I had to supplement a little formula for the first couple months. We are moving at the end of the year. So once we get all settle I plan on dropping down to 3 pumps and probably slowly start the weaning process while transitioning him to whole milk. I also have about 110 bags of frozen in the freezer. I plan on using a bag a day so he gets some bm through the winter months. I've been ready to stop pumping but it's hard to quit at the same time, I've put a lot of time and energy into that stupid pump, but it was the best thing for my son. He has thrived on it and still loves it. So I'm hoping the transition goes well. Thanks for the support. So by the time it's said and done I will probaby still be pumping until he is 15 months or so, or I may get down to 2 and think that is easy and keep going for longer.

I think you're doing so great! I'm very impressed with your desire to continue pumping through your move and through the winter, especially because I know just how ready I am at 6.5 months to be done with BFing and pumping. It's not that I don't like BFing (pumping I could live without, but I only do it once in the morning because my baby STTN), but I'm ready to have my body be 100% mine again and LOSE THIS WEIGHT!!!

I may feel totally different when he's a year old (or whenever he decides to self-wean), but I'm ready. I use my frozen stash to make oatmeal for him, and at a bag a day I will run out fairly soon. Thus I'll be pumping in the morning and putting it in the fridge rather than the freezer. So once we wean, that'll pretty much be it, I think.

Glad you found a plan that works for both of you!
