hi folks,
Christmas & new years is nearly upon us & the annual battle to get back into a healthy routine in January will be upon us very soon
If anybody would like an extra incentive to get exercising in January I can offer this.
In early April each year they start the London Marathon pretty near to where I live, last year I walked the marathon course the day before the big Sunday run.
most people could just get up in the morning & walk or run a half marathon, a full marathon takes training.
training for the marathon takes 3 months so it's a great reason to get out exercising early in January.
we follow the exact same course as the full marathon but I get 'off piste' as much as I can so much of the walk is on pedestrian walkways and river paths away from traffic so it's a pleasurable walk too
if anybody would like to join me on the walk you're more than welcome, and we can keep track of each other's training & share tips and advice through January, February & March; having a goal will hopefully motivate us all to get out of bed & hit the trails throughout the cold weather months.
