Maternity Shopping

Yesterday I was in the city of many stores, so I thought I would try to get some shopping completed as I was actually without my husband and kids for once. Granted I only went to two stores that would have maternity clothes (Target and Kohl's) as it was getting late and I wanted to get on the road before it was too dark and I had an hour commute home. The maternity sections SUCKED!!!! Have any of you ladies bought any maternity clothes and if so where do you recommend.

I pulled out my maternity clothes from 8 and 6 years ago, but everything was made to be 'tenty' back then. Plus I wore scrubs to work so most of it was T-shirts to wear with my scrub pants and a jacket. I have hardly any clothes to wear in my business setting now.

I want to make a list so next time I go shopping I can make a point to just hit these stores. I hate shopping on a good day, and then you toss in crappy selection of clothes and it makes things go downhill fast. I was so severely disappointed in the stores. Each only had 2 racks of clothes and most of it was summer stuff on clearance.

I have purchased about 70% from Old Navy I think. My few maternity pjs are from Motherhood Maternity as I loved that they doubled as nursing jammies. LOVE old navy mat clothes though. I bought stuff for years ahead of time (I knew I'd get preg someday) so I would buy stuff in off season on clearance (summer tops in winter, my two mat sweatshirts together cost $5). So that's where I bought my skirts, shirts, yoga/lounge pants. My jeans I didn't like the ones at ON (I have a couple from there) I REALLY loved the Motherhood Maternity ones as they just fit me better and they had a good petite selection (I'm 5'2" and didn't want ot have to hem). Target I was never impressed by as it was too expensive for a thin shirt. Kohls I think I bought a pair of shorts at but that's about it. Best of Luck!
