Just joined and wanted to say THANK YOU for this awesome group.
I was actively losing for years (with maintenance breaks) and started maintaining in June of this year. Maintained on around 2000 cals a week until around Nov 8th when I "slowly" stepped into my first ever bulk! I started eating at 2100 cals and bumped up again a couple of weeks ago to 170 cals over. So far I think I've gained about 1.5lbs - 2lbs (in this 6 weeks) but can't be 100% sure as I didn't weigh myself at the optimal time (usually do morning before food and after washroom break LOL sorry if TMI) but weighed mid-day this time.
I have really been trying not to worry about the scale actually. I will be away for some on January with no way of logging during that time so my plan is to weigh after I am back and give my body a week or so to get rid of flight, water retention, sodium, etc. and then weigh/assess and add more calories if there has not been enough of a gain. I am really keen to put on around 2lbs a month and gain a total of around 10 or so. Maybe more depending on how I feel!
I am excited to pack on some beautiful muscle and look forward to having this place to come to for advice.

Welcome! This is an awesome group. I am almost 4 months into my first bulk. The plan was to begin my cut at the end of this month ( after the holidays) after concentrating for so long on losing weight, and eating at a deficit, or at maintenance, it was hard to grasp the idea that GAINING weight was actually the goal. You will probably hear it said a number of times that this is as much a mental process as anything else. I'm looking forward to hearing more about your progress as time goes by.0
