Going to be in Chicago Jan 3-5 and want to drop in on a CF box while I'm there. Anyone in Chicago or have a box recommendation? It looks like Hardware Crossfit (http://hardwarecrossfit.com/) is closest to my step-sister's house, but I'm not positive that's where I am staying.

    My son went to Lincoln Park Crossfit. He did not like it. Did not like the coaches and thought the place was too tiny. He has heard that Windy City Crossfit is one of the best in Chicago. It is on the northside near Andersonville, which is where Hardware is, on North Ravenswood, near Irving Park Road.

    I'll be doing the same next week over Xmas. Crossfit Great Barrington in western Massachusetts. $50 to join for the week so I figure I will get at least 3 workouts in. Hopefully 4.

    I went to Chicago on a business trip and went to River North (RNCF). Loved it...great WOD and the people/coaches were very welcoming. You pay a fee, but it get's you a T-shirt, and you know we all love T-shirts!!

    Just had a buddy vouch for the Deerfield one. He is not a member but said he's heard nothing but good things.

    I work out at Crossfit Autonomy and couldn't be happier. The coach is great and will scale to your needs. He has extensive experience and his programming and attention to detail is excellent.
