Hey everyone,
I was doing some reading... and I stumbled over this site that converts body fat % to kg/lb and using this I have been able to set myself mini goals to achieve based on losing kg of fat rather than just any random kg.
I hope to be able to track my lean body mass to ensure it is either increasing or staying the same because I want to lose fat not anything else!

Oh and I checked, whether using lb or kg it doesn't matter results are the same!

This calculation also says if I lose 30lb of fat I will be at my goal... 20% fat! So maybe I was over estimating what I need to lose!
Makes the goal more attainable now0 -

don't get hung up on figures too much. if you do some mild to light weight training your body will look much better, even with a higher fat percentage. muscle also takes up much less room as the same weight in fat, so you might still weigh quite a lot, but have a healthy fat percentage..
fat% is a good measurement to determine if you're healthy. waist size is a good indicator of that, not weight
for example:
according to the BMI calculation, I should not weigh more than 90 kilograms, or I'm overweight.
my dry mass is 86 kg. so I'm allowed to have 4 kg of fat.. thats 3-5% at that weight... near impossible, and very unhealthy!
my doctor says 100 kilograms is healthy, because that is 14% of fat (which is actually still quite low!)
if you work out just a little, you will gain some pounds of muscle in the process.. .which is good.. but it might seem you're not getting fitter.. while you are!0
