In Need of Cruise Tips

I just found out I'm going on a one week cruise in 2 weeks.I've been on 2 cruises before. The first one which was only a few days, I ate everything in site and gained lots of weight and water. The second cruise was much better. Though not on MFP, I only gained one pound in the entire week.
Now that I am in a different part of my life and my nonstop eating junk food boys will be with me, I am a bit concerned that I won't be able to keep things under control.
Anyone have any tips to get through and enjoy this cruise?

I have never been on a cruise, so I have no tips, but how awesome that you're going!
What did you do on the second cruise that was so different? Just eat less? Move more? Are there fitness classes on board that you can take part of?0 -
Laura,
I was more aware of what I was eating and stopped before getting out of control. I didn't have double desserts or heavy breakfasts. It was also a much more active trip physically and I probably burned tons of calories each day. Walking, swimming, walking, swimming, swimming........Kayaking, swimming....
Today I bought 3 pairs of shorts on clearance or sale which is hard to do during Christmas season, one dress, and one very expensive swimsuit as the one from two years ago was sooooooo big, it was actually indecent. Swimsuits aren't in the stores either right now so I had to go to a specialty store. I just went online and ordered the same tankini suit in a different color for less money but it's still a lot. My DH is not complaining. I better get my money's worth out of them though so let's hope for great weather. I love the warm ocean.
Now I need to find a way to keep the sodium levels down on the cruise.I have never been on a cruise, so I have no tips, but how awesome that you're going!

Sounds like you had a great strategy last time. Sodium will likely be an issue, but drink lots of water on the cruise & when you get back and it'll flush out in no time. And every time you're tempted to splurge a little too much on meals just remember how hard you worked to fit into those new clothes & swimsuits!0
