How was your Christmas?

Hi Guys! I hope everyone had a nice Christmas. Mine was pretty good. Had the family over at my house this year. It was the first time we didn't go to my mom's. My parents really enjoyed the break and I actually liked hosting it. It kept me busy and away from food!!! The kids enjoyed themselves and for me that's what it is all about.

I must say, I am happy it's over. I like routine and am happy to be back into my routine. The next 3 days I will be working 12 hour shifts and am quite happy about it. My daughter will be with my sister and her cousins...so my sister gets to deal with all the after Christmas craziness!!! Its a good thing I pay her well.

HAPPY ITS OVERS

I was a pig over the weekend and straight up through to xmas. Packed on weight. I know its bulk and will likely shed once i cleanse myself with a few days of walks and healthy eatting again.

My wife worked eve and day so I was home alone for most of it just taking care of them. Kids had fun with their toys. Had only the 4 of us to contend with. Rest of the family opened in our absence. we will do ours on Friday (which is when i will finally have a gift to open).

Just in one of those Meh moods today - I think i need to go to walmart and see what kind of after holiday deals i can get.

I am sorry you are feeling blah. I totally can relate. Hopefully you can get a walk in or something to get yourself feeling better!!

It was alright. Didn't seem like most of the family was in the Christmas spirit, me included. Kind of glad it's over. Felt like I was caught off guard and was too far behind. I didn't enjoy it like I usually do. My husband was sick the morning of, too, so that kind of put a damper on my mood too. I didn't even get my cards sent out!

Next year I plan on starting in January, lol. Gonna keep a tote in my basement, and fill it with potential gifts and whatnot. I make jewelry too, so I'm going to make 1 piece a day, so I'll have over 300 items to choose from next year.

MM- What kind of jewlery do you make? I have always been envious of people who have creative skills. Me-- not so much!!!

I sent my cards out last minute. Just wasn't in the mood this year. When i was with my daughter I was. Because lets face it...she's 4 and seeing her get so excited made me happy. But without her, Christmas could have just as been a nother day and it would have been ok to me.

Aw, I can just imagine how her face lit up opening the presents! That would truly be a gift right there.

I make chainmaille & macrame, and I also work with wire and wire-wrapping. I also like making beaded jewelry with stone, glass & semi-precious materials.
