I finished my epiphany shopping today and played epiphany songs! It's snowing out and it's COLD, but oh well, I got home while the roads were OK. Epiphany shopping you ask? Yeah-after christmas sale items. left over gingerbread house kits (nephew), discount hot chocolate mixes, funny christmas hats, some holiday nightlights for next year- a few shirts on sale, plus a few for myself.. I'm on it! ANNND I didn't have to buy a larger size... all my slogging through and NOT eating completely out of control is doing OK. happy new year.

We have two birthdays coming up. Oldest DD turns 17 on the 5th and third DS will be 12 on the 6th. Lots to celebrate! And then winter turns dreary for a long time yet. My favorite hymn OF THE FATHERS LOVE BEGOTTEN is really for Christmas, but hopefully appropriate for epiphany as well. I have never liked WE THREE KINGS. Nice to be the musician and only use hymns I know and enjoy.

Meant to also say- congrats on not needing larger shirts. Isn't that a great gift to give yourself!
