Today was Yoga X. I liked it even though I have NO flexibility at all. Running has ruined my flexibility so I think I might try to fit this workout in 3 times each week.
First 3 days have left me sore and I love it!!

Completed the Warrior today. The workout incorporates a lot of cardio mixed with pushups and core work. I always love pushups, so that was a bonus for me, even if I am still a little sore from the Challenge workout. The cardio portion involved a lot of leg work, which I had to ease into since my hamstrings are still a little sore from Agility X. I don’t know why this is so, but my hamstrings take forEVER to heal! Maybe I need to use the foam roller more often or immediately after a leg workout. Either way, my hamstrings are my slowest muscles to heal.
My menu is going nicely and today I experimented with two new recipes. Kale chips, which are as tasty and addictive as ordinary potato chips. I also made roasted brussel sprouts. I remember growing up and hating brussel sprouts, or at least however my mother made them. I think she boiled them. It doesn’t matter because they were gross. Today I simply sprayed them with a little olive oil and sprinkled salt on them before baking them at 400’F for 40 minutes. Wow, they were delicious! Tomorrow is grocery day, so guess what I will be buying extra?
I’ve also noticed my diet does not have enough iron in it. I know I don’t eat as much red meat as I used to, and I know chicken livers are high in iron. However, I think I may need to take an iron supplement to make up that missing 40% daily requirement.

The second week of P90X3 has begun with another round of Total Synergistics. This time I burned 411 calories compared with last weeks 436, so it seems like I am consistent in my workout intensity. Got my heart rate up to 180 this time! My diet is also going strong with no problems with junk foods or soda.
I made another grocery run today and bought more supplies to make Kale Chips, zucchini chips, and roasted Brussel Sprouts. I loved the kale chips and Brussel sprouts this weekend and want more. I have heard about the zucchini chips and want to experiment with a couple recipes. I also bought a six-pack of coconut water. I had a can this weekend and really enjoyed the taste of that.
