Sunday is my planned "REST" day, so no additional miies today.
But Sunday is also my official WEIGH IN day, and I am thrilled to report I have lost 20 lbs since early October.
Yea for me!
I stuck to the MFP calorie plan, even after blowing Thanksgiving weekend away, and Christmas Day as well.
And I found the MYA group in December - started setting a goal, counting up miles, extending the goal. Encouraged by all you folks slogging through the bad weather and difficulties, I'm now in my second month of MOVIN' more and more. I'm sure the calories I've earned by exercise have helped me stay on the plan. Now I only have 80 lbs to go.
Thanks for the group! Thanks to the organizers! Thanks for the example you all are setting for me to continue to Move My @SS!
Congratulations!!!0 -
After shoveling snow for an hour, I walked into town for lunch to get my miles in. I will make my goal but I have some work to do. It sure is a struggle to keep moving in the cold. I'm supposed to do a nice long run this week to train for my next marathon. Is it better to do like Momof2boys and suck it up on the treadmill? Or do like Laura6887 and run with icicles on my face? Proud of both of you for getting it done!
Running in the cold is much warmer than walking. I've been getting in my weekend runs outside (icicles & all) but my cool-down walks have dropped from a mile to a couple of blocks because I get cold fast once I slow to a walk. Or can you split it up? Run outside as long as you can stand it, then finish up on the treadmill.0 -

They're coming in fast now folks -- 5 more people making goal! Congrats to LoveMyAlex, Sussexbythesea, CeeCeeMe, Whereismycoffee, and the father of the MYAC, Dinos!
I want to point out Lovemyalex has moved over 730 miles this month. That's second only to dcmat!
Way to go on the step count, Dinos. Nice moving this month - all on foot.
Wightrose, you got it! Your goal is now 100. Way to move.
319Sara, congrats on your weight loss! Great progress!
