Green Team Week 12 : Time to buckle Down

Good Morning. I didn't think Tammie would mind me starting this week off again. Missing all you ladies. Hope you had a great holidays and New Years. I am sure glad fourth quarter is over. I love my job but I'm glad that the biggest 6 months of the year are done and now I can refocus my attention on my weight loss goals. This week I have 4 runs planned. A 5 mile today followed by an 8 tomorrow and a 3 mile on Saturday and Monday. I'd like to loose at least 3 pounds this week. And I am really going to try to start dedication myself to some kind of weight training. I am such a weakling. Even 3 lbs tires me out. Oh well. So what's everyone's plans?

Thanks Jesse..no I do not mind at all. I was busy working out this morning..and you will soon know what I did because I would everyone to try it as a LAST CHANCE WORKOUT. Happy New Year everyone..hope everyone is the mode a new year, a new you.!! I have 25 lbs to meet my 100 lb weight loss and I would like to reach it by the end of February so it will take determination and dedication. My weigh in was 180.5 which was about a half pound up from last week. I refuse to go backwards so beast mode is on. I have not heard from many of you in two weeks, I hope that changes as the holidays wind down!!
Ok so here was my workout this a.m. and your LAST CHANCE WORKOUT for this week: (Time:124 minutes Calories burned:1453)
Bike 20 miles in 64 minutes or less
Walk 3 miles in 45 minutes
Strength training:
Butterflies: 3 sets of 8 with 15lb weights
Squats: 30 with 15lb weights on each shoulder
Wall Sit: 4 minutes with 30 lbs
Overhead presses 3 sets of 8 with 15 lb weights
Bicep curls: 3 sets of 8 with 15lb weights
Hope everyone has a great week . My goal is to get into a pair of size 6 dress pants that were given to me.

Wow, that sounds like a great last chance workout and I will definitely be giving it a shot this week! I noticed we haven't had an official thread in a few weeks, are we on break until the show comes back on?
I am definitely re-committed to my getting healthy journey, fridge is stocked with fresh fruits and veggies and workouts are scheduled, I am ready to buckle down and get serious!!!!!0 -

I am glad we will keep a thread going. It would have been nice to know the whole group was going to be on pause. I think with the holidays this time is the most important for us to stay together as a group.
So 8 have to admit I can't ride a bike. Don't own a bike and don't have a gym membership. So I'm thinking this week may start me needing to conquer a fear.0 -

You can do it and instead of the bike, you run which is awesome. I wish I could run for long periods of time, but my knee will not allow, but I did jog a mile yesterday !! Been hitting the gym like crazy, but can't seem to move the scale, but I am losing inches. Hoping that darn scale moves this week. I have plateaued for 2 weeks and it s\is driving me crazy!!

Today I declare is SATISFYING SUNDAY..yup got up went Heart to Heart Fitness did 25 minutes of weight lifting, 10.2 miles in 60 minutes on the elliptical, 5 miles on the track in 30. 2 minute plank, 25 arm dips ( trust me ladies if you do not want the fat under your arm to wave when you do, do these) 75 squats w 15lb weights on each shoulder ( another one ladies that is must if you want to rock the bath suit, wear thongs without your a** jiggling or you want to walk by your husband or significant other and have them slap your a** and say dang baby that looks good, cmon ladies you know we all hope secretly that they do this, trust me do the squats and they will!!)
Ladies..what is leaving you feeling satisfied??

Squats. I have a love hate relationship with these and I should really become more dedicated since they would make me a stronger runner. Tomorrow I am going to do weighted squats . I shall report back what I do going to watch these videos tonight too. This week is gonna be a fun filled week of running. 4 runs = 21 miles.0

Great idea to try weighted squats, I do tons of regular squats, but for some reason have never added weights, will definitely be trying to add in a few arm dips, also since I've never been happy with the way my arms jiggle. I weighed 163.5 this morning (down 2.5 lbs from last week, but still up 1 lb from before Christmas so not sure if this counts as a loss or a gain), but will let you know if I have a lower weight tomorrow morning as I plan on doing an intense last chance workout when I get off work tonight.

booga booga booga I'm alive! Sorry for my absence with the holidays and such it's no excuse but it is what it is good to see not all of us were slackers like me. Looking forward to buckling down and having a great year.
Thanks for posting videos I'm always looking for new ways to move and I'm always very concerned with having proper technique.

Sharing a post that I shared to my facebook wall from yesterday:Today is Magnificent Monday..what a great day!! I accomplished so much at work that I can actually see my desk again!! Came up with a great new plan on how to make extra money!! Got one of the best workouts ever in. A half an hour on the elliptical and then a half hour on the track where we walked and then ran full out walked and then ran full out for a half an hour and then my finale was spin class at Heart to Heart Fitness that was absolutely fabulous. It was an endurance class which is complete fat burn. She even shut the lights off and the music was great so that you could focus on your breathing and release stress. I feel fantastic!! The world is my playground and I am so ready to play!! Today I got asked if I work out with guys. My reply, "Absolutely! They will train you hard and make you push." Ladies trust me when I say DO NOT be afraid to work out with the guys. They will not put you down. They do not care how you look, so don't be afraid if you are sweating they are too. Some of my best workouts have been with guys who saw me working hard and came over to give hints on how to get a better burn or me asking for help from the guys. We are ALL in it for the same thing, to get fit and stay healthy. The only thing you have to do is move your a** of the couch!!
Truly believe. I am going to start naming all the days of the week. Today is Tantalizing Tuesday because I am going to do some exercises that stimulant all of the senses..pilates, yoga, bike riding. Throw in the below zero temps and I am there.
Weigh in for me: Last week:180.5 today:178.3 loss 2.2lbs.
Everyone appeared to like the video clips and I want to shake up some of my workouts so I am going to be trying out some different workouts. If I find ones that make me sweat and feel good or feel would help everyone with technique, I'll post them. If you get sick of them and you do not want to see them anymore let me know. I will also be posting other little tidbits that I think will help..like how to burn 100 quick easy calories, food comparables, step conversion, etc. Again if it gets annoying , please let me know, but I think part of being a coach especially in the last stages of the challenge is to build your knowledge and to help push you a little!! Ok Ladies let's have some fun and kick some *kitten* this last stage!!
