Any success Stories?

Hi All
I have been here before, but I haven't posted much. I have practiced Taijiquan before, and I remember the routines.
Has anyone had any success with combining Tai Chi and dieting and making it work for you to lose weight?
Another question; how do you stay motivated to continue?

I'm a member of the Taoist Tai Chi Society who teach some foundation exercises which I've found useful to practice where space is too limited for a full set. I've been with them for nearly 3 years and it was at a tai chi class that I found that exercise could be enjoyable and encouraged me to get back on my bike and take up running which really caused the weight to drop. Although it's not the sort of exercise to make you sweat and puff it really does seem to burn the calories. As a member I can attend as many classes as I like for no additional cost so I'm trying to attend at least two classes a week as well as performing sets on my own where possible.
While I think that any sort of exercise is going to do good there does seem to be a lot of people who've had health problems alleviated or cured since taking up the practice.0 -
