Avoid WHITE Carbs

Rule #1: Avoid “white” carbohydrates
Too many refined carbs—baked goods, French fries or processed snack foods like chips and pretzels—are simply toxic for your body. They’re often responsible for visceral or omentum fat, the dangerous fat you can carry around your middle that actually inhibits your body’s ability to make insulin, which makes you more prone to diabetes. White carbs also increase your risk for cardiovascular disease and even cancer, according to Dr. Oz.

According to Dr. Ann Kulze, Simple carbohydrates are almost as bad as sugar because they turn into sugar when they are digested.
Avoid any carbohydrate that is — or can be — white: bread, rice, cereal, potatoes, pasta, and fried food with breading.
Simple Carbs:
Promote fat storage
Perpetuate appetite
Promote cardiovascular disease
Increase the risk of type 2 diabetes
Promote certain cancers

*Good carbs (gives you energy) are unprocessed carbohydrates in their ‘all natural’ state – or very close to their natural state. In other words they have been minimally altered by man or machine, or not altered at all. Most diet and health experts agree that green vegetables are the ‘ultimate’ good carb foods. In fact, most ‘leafy’ fibrous vegetables and many fruits are considered among the best carbs to eat. Beans and legumes are also generally included on the ‘good carbs’ list, as are many raw nuts and seeds. Finally, whole-grain foods – including whole-grain breads, cereals, and pastas – are considered by most experts to be among the good carbohydrate foods. -http://goodcarbs.org/
