Well I guess the subject says it all
I did go to the gym the other day and do a "run through" without weights just to get form down. My gym has a PVC bar that they keep out for that reason.
So glad I was pointed in the direction of this group. All of the reading has helped. Wish me luck!

Just remember, its ok if you can't move the 45# bar.
Start lighter if you need to!

After the first couple times you will wonder what you were so scared of. Nothing to be nervous about that's gyms are for! Good luck!0

You'll do fine. It just takes a little while to get comfortable with it.0

Today was my first day and boy was it great! I have lifted before AND my husband was there, albeit doing his own thing, but there nonetheless, and I felt so good! I can't wait to see the progress I will make with it. On paper it looks like I will be having some impressive lifts but again, on paper, lol!0

LOL! He joked with me on yesterday about getting back in the weight room. We used to lift together and I stopped this past December since lunches were primarily set aside for running errands then instead of working out. He has been consistent though and his gains are definitely coming along. But it was comforting to know he was there just in case anything happened or if I felt unsafe.Interesting.
