                    Just like to say hi. I am new to this board and would like to know anything I  should know. I have over a100 lbs to lose. I join Mpg last year and was losing good then I started to slip. I gain the weight I lost and then some. But I am back. My first week back I have a 8 lb lost. I always lose good that first week. I didn't starve myself. Ate really good. Great to be with a group of people who have over 100 lbs to lose. Need the encouragement. Geraldine

I had the same kind of weight loss my first week back, as well. But I've leveled off and getting used to the changes. And I'm thankful for the support I've found on this site and in this group.

Welcome! Good luck with your goals. You are now offically surrounded by friendly people in similar boats.
The big thing you need to know is that we are a SENSIBLE and SUSTAINABLE weight loss group. We encourage nutrition, portion control, exercise, hydration, and good sleeping habits.
We tend to direct all proponents of fad diets and fly by night schemes elsewhere. This is not the place to trumpet the All Strofoam and Kale Cleanse or the Nothing But Vegetable Protein and Coffee Diet. Even if there is a scientific basis for a radical weight loss treatment of one kind or another, if it is not something you might consider doing for the rest of your life, it probably doesn't fit with our ethos.
Look around. Read some old posts. Make some new ones. You are a welcome addition to our little community.
Eat mindfully. Log dilegently. Driink your water. You will succeed!

            What Mark said. I'm on cold meds today and don't trust my usually glib phraseology.
And clmcnett, well notice it is some posts she learns from, the rest is just fluff you have to dig through, usually because of my glib phraseology...
