Hello. I'm nearly 6 weeks pregnant with my second child. I have a little girl who is nearly 3. Right now I'm really struggling with morning sickness. Not nearly as much throwing up as I had with my first, but a lot of nausea and food aversions. Like, everything that isn't pasta, rice, or a baked potato. I'm not doing so well with the smell of food, so the last few days I've been doing sandwiches, and last night I sent DH off to the pharmacy for a B6/B12 vitamin. If my MS stays like this though I will count my lucky stars. I know it can still get much worse!

Major props to moms who go through multiple pregnancies. You are all goddesses to me. ;)

My fitness related goals are a bit up in the air. Before pregnancy I was running for at least an hour 3 days a week, with the occasional bit of strength training thrown in. I'm not so consistent about the strength training. I've only been able to manage 40-50 minutes twice a week. I'd like to incorporate more strength training with this pregnancy. With my first I mostly just walked. I'm even considering switching up the exercise to something else, but running gets me out of the house (by myself!!) and outside, which I'm loathe to give up.

So looking for some preggie friends and I hope everyones pregnancies go well!

Hi! I'm just over 26 weeks pregnant with my third. I have a son who's 4.5 and a daughter who's just over 2.5, and this one is a girl too.

I never suffered with sickness with my son, it was such an easy pregnancy. I went to the gym until 34 weeks and only stopped then because I thought I should.

I felt a lot worse with my daughter, nausea until 14 weeks, and real tiredness (of course, I had a young toddler to look after too) and I stopped going to the gym. I had some bleeding at about 6 weeks which is kind of why I stopped in the first place.

This pregnancy has been identical in terms of nausea, so it stopped at 14 weeks thank god! I found it hard to eat certain things that I usually eat, and I hated the smell of food, and found it hard to go into the kitchen, so my eating wasn't the greatest for the first few weeks. But I got back on track after that.

Before pregnancy I was at the gym/doing classes 5-6 times a week, and I have maintained that 4-5 times a week throughout, although I've dropped some classes that involve more abs work now.

I do strength training still, but I was doing a fair bit of that before. I use lighter weights now. If you weren't doing strength training much before, don't go overboard now! The advice is to carry on doing what you have been doing, but don't start anything new.

Definitely keep up exercise though. I'm not a runner, so not sure on the guidelines on that, but at your stage now it should be fine. I definitely appreciate the benefits of doing something that gets you out of the house alone

I was feeling so awful two days I took yesterday off from work. I called my doctor and he said to try an extra Bcomplex vitamin. I'm taking 50mg of B6 (along with some other Bvitamins) in the morning and at night, and I feel much better! I'm so glad! I was put on Zofran with my daughter and it didn't really help at all.

Thanks for responding about the exercise, Dawnie!

I know I can keep running, I'm just not feeling it so much lately. I think its because I am just overall very tired, and its cold and windy here. My body gets tired and I never get to that euphoric feeling. Normally running kind of sucks until I hit 2km, and from there it feels great.

I've been doing strength training, just not as consistently as running. I know its big on the forums, but I find it boring. I always feel awesome after, but during not so much. Maybe I just need to find some good music or something. I'm not doing heavy lifting, just 3-6kg dumbells and jillian michael's or fitness blender workouts. I like pilates too. I did some yesterday because I didn't want to go running in the park since I'd been so dizzy the day before, and I felt much better. Laying around all day is sometimes necessary, but it makes me feel so stiff and sore!

So for right now I'm just going to concentrate on getting through my first trimester without my daughter being raised by youtube, and exercise when I can. ;)

    Hope you're feeling better now.

I know what you mean about strength training. I don't mind it when I get into it, or if I have a routine, but I don't do it as often as I should! A lot of classes I do incorporate it, which is good.

You might start feeling better in a few weeks and able to go running. Is it likely to be better weather where you are?
