I love lifting, but have avoided it lately because I am sick of New Rules of Lifting work-outs and don't think I can face one more. I definitely need something new.
I have heard the term Strong Lifts before but never checked into it until tonight. I read up on it a bit, downloaded the app for my phone and joined you all here.
I'll start with work-out A tomorrow morning and if I understand correctly after my super brief study session, I will do squats, bench press and BB rows @ 5 sets of 5 reps. Looks like minimal weight at first 45-45-65. And it looks like I will not add weight with each set.
Example: do 5 sets of squats at 5 reps each, all with 45 pounds? Hopefully I got it right. Seems simple and to the point which I love! Can't wait to get started!
If I got this wrong I hope someone will give me a shout! Thanks!

the stickies on the first page give a very good condensed version. You may also want to consider Starting Strength which SL was a rip-off from (no pendlay rows, power cleans instead) and is 3x5 not 5x5.

Looks like you have the basics of it, the App will tell you when to add weight so keeps it nice and simple And yay for another footballer, I mean soccer player :drinker:0
