Hi Julie,
I live in Japan, and have reviewed your screens. CAVEAT: I am not a translator and don't know every kanji so I may have missed mistakes in the kanji.
Here is what I saw, just pointing out what is different between E and J screens:
screen shot no.
1 Japanese side shows "Country: Japan" with a pulldown above the postal code line. E side doesn't ask for country.
QQ for developers: Will you still offer the option of using English language while using in Japan? Is the food database still going to be shared across all countries? I would hate to be forced to use MFP in Japanese just because I live in Japan.(Some other app makers assume that if you live in Japan, you must want to use app only in Japanese.)
2 Account set up - weight
Japanese side top line: "how tall are you? 160cm"
2nd line: "How much do you weigh? 55kg"
While English asks for current and target weights.
6 Log in screen shows US English keyboard for Japanese screen. J users will need a Japanese kanji/kana input keyboard. This is true for all following input screens.
17 Entry complete screen says 80.3 kg in English, but 148 pounds in Japanese. They use kg in Japan, not pounds.
23 Edit fitness goals page should also use kg for examples. The Eng page has Units at the bottom of the list, but that is missing on J side.
35 Both screens say to tap "add" button -- which is a + sign, not the word for Add in either language.
37 Settings in J has an extra entry line, second from bottom, which says "Edit Foods and Exercise" in J. This is on screen 41 below in English.
40 Edit profile in J has a summary of the settings at the bottom.
41 English Diary Settings includes line for Edit Foods and Exercises on this page, while J has it on page 37.
Looks good so far! Just be sure to test it with a Japanese person or two....
cheers
