5:2 diet

Hi can anyone help me on what you eat on the fast day? really looking for stuff that is easy to buy/make as I am a busy working mum with 2 kids thanks

    There's two 5:2 fasting groups on here which are worth joining.

    You can eat whatever you like on the fasting days as long as you stick to your calorie allowance but it's one hell of a lot easier to stick to if you make smart choices!
    My fast days are centered around lean protein (meats & fish), lots of veg (salads or hot), soups and berries (surprisingly low calorie).

    The 5:2 book has some tasty recipes and they are mostly simple to prepare as not too many ingredients.
    When I'm working soups or prepared salads from supermarkets are a regular feature, Pret's Tuna Nicoise salad is very good.

    Prawns, prawns and more prawns. Super low calorie and surprisingly filling, especially if you team it with a big salad.

    I used to do pasta with lots of veg. These days I mostly have soups. One at lunch and one in the evening. Also drinks throughout the day.
