Magical accident

I have always found it difficult to work out with a small child. My son is 2 1/2 years old and needs me every second of the day. If a crumb or toys hits the floor, I hear "MOMMY!". its none stop. A little over a month ago I bought a hula hoop to do some cardio that was fun. Of course my son was attached to my leg and would not let me move. I guess I wasn't paying attention and was getting in the grove of the motion, I had the music blasting and everything. I thought my son was playing blocks in the adjoining room. Little did I know you was trying to attach himself to my leg and "BUMP" he got hit right in his little nugget with the hoop. I felt so bad. I gave him hugs and kisses. But from that day on when I say "mommy is going to workout" My son stays clear, lol. I can now workout in with very little interruption. Of course I hear the occasional "MOMMY!" but it few and far between.

I don't advise accidently knocking your kid out with your fitness equipment, lol. Just thought I would share a funny mommy moment.

Hi. That is funny. Im in the same boat with my 15 month old,i can manage a few minutes doing my dvd before he wants my attention so now i have just resorted to putting the music channel on and we both dance around to that together and then i do the dvd when my husband gets home. X

I'm in the dilemma of having small bodies stuck beneath me when I work out. I've noticed it's easier if my 4 year old is at school, but still not easy with the younger one. We manage though. I'm hoping that as we all adjust to mommy exercising, it'll get easier. Let's hope!

I tried dancing with my son to music but he only likes 2 song! " I"m elmo and I know it" and Mc Hammers "Can't touch this" on youtube. On the bright side my 2 year old has perfected Mc Hammer's typewriter dance move, lol

I have a 2 and 3 year old. They tried to do the dvd with me but gave up. I have more of an issue keeping them and their toys out of my path so I don't do jumping jacks on their hands. :( (hasn't happened yet) I've resorted to getting up at 5:00am to have some alone time.
  • That's funny - love it!

My daughter is almost two and my only exercise I do with her is walking or playing at the playground. I go to the gym and put her in the kids care there which fortunately she loves.

OMG! I have the same problem! I'm doing T25 which involves a lot of jumping. I dont know how many times I have almost broken my face because of a toy on the floor. I definitely need a anti toy space to workout in, lol
