Hi! I'm new to this group but I have been using MyFitnessPal on and off for a few years. I am new to crossfit...been going for about a month.

I'm wondering if you log your crossfit workouts in the exercise part of the system? I know the workouts vary but do you know of a good option to log this as a general workout? I am looking mostly for calories in/calories out type of tracking.

Thanks in advance!

  • I just do citrcuit training, for mine I know it's not accurate but it's the closet thing I can find to logging it

Either use the Circuit training option or get a heart rate monitor to give you a more accurate reading...Good luck!!!!!!

It's impossible to do more than make a best guess at what your burn is given how much the workouts vary. I just count them as one calorie, went to a site and calculated my TDEE and try to eat at 10% deficit to that

I do the same as bostonwolf.

Log the fact I've done the workout - manually added CrossFit and give it a 1 calorie burn.

I eat TDEE -20% everyday regardless of exercise.

The caveat being that if I work extra hard one day and am really hungry, I eat even if I'm near my calorie goal for the day.
