Craving Crushers

Well...it's 3 pm. This same time everyday I get those random cravings for something chocolate or salty, sometimes both. I've been crubbing mine by drinking Wild Sweet Orange Tea. How are you ladies tackling those mid-afternoon cravings??

My calorie allotment is 1400 per day, so I just sort of work some of what I want in. Today I was well under my calorie allotment so I let myself have a skinny cow ice cream sandwich and one very decadent mug of hot chocolate. 100 calorie bags of pop secret popcorn are great for when I'm craving salty...also claussen dill pickles are great for when I want crunchy and salty. Hot chocolate is often my go to for sweets cravings. It takes a minute to drink and it warms your tummy giving you a bit of a full feeling, so you don't feel cheated...which I do if I try to just have a little bit of a candy bar or something.

So far, fruit and yogurt seems to be helping me with afternoon cravings. I still don't know what to do about my high sugar cravings first thing in the morning, though. (I am not in the mood for fruit, then.)

My hubby & I have been on a juicing kick (week 2 almost completed) and we schedule our 2nd juice of the day to be around 3:30 just as that "I need a snack" craving hits.

We have a protein shake for breakfast (7:00 ish) - 1st juice around 10:30/11:00, 2nd around 3:00-4:00; workout at 5:00; protein shake at 5:30 and then a light dinner around 6:30. We usually have to feed the kids between 5:30 & 6:00 as well. This plan has worked really well this week and HOPEFULLY it will yield some positive results.
