Atlas Stone Tips

Hey all! I'm fairly new at strongman (since sept) and I have my first competition coming up in 2 weeks and I am really struggling with stones! I can load the 100lb stone all day (to 48 inches) but I CANNOT budge the 150lb! Even with tacky! I've watched all kinds of youtube videos of people doing stones but I was wondering if any one had any tips or tricks that have worked for them?

You may just have to get stronger. 100-150 is a big jump.
That being said, I am assuming you can't even break it from the ground?0 -
I can lift it about 2 inches! I think I'm strong enough. My dreads are at 280 and I have no problem with a 150 lbs hussafell. I think its technique.. 100 to 150 is a big jump but my gym doesn't have a weight in between0

Are you not able to continue to drive up or is your grip going? Always, front squats help too.
I have a couple of articles at home I will post, maybe you haven't seen them.
Also, how is your tacky? Is it runny?0 -
