Trail Running

I'm really getting into trail runs and races over the last year. Does anyone have any must-do trail races? Hopefully somewhere in the pacific northwest!:glasses:

Not sure where you are, but there are many AWESOME races in the PNW. There are several in the Oregon trail series that I want to do. I might try to get into Waldo and Flagline this year depending on how my early season goes. I have always wanted to do the Mac Forest 50k since OSU is my alma mater (and once upon a time I spent a lot of time in Mac forest NOT running)--maybe next year. The Mt Hood 50 is a pretty darn nice event (and really hard to get in to).

Anything in Forest Park in Portland is great. Do a wonderful trail run, go get some good food.

    Here are some links:

    Oregon trail series: http://oregontrailseries.org/
Portland trail series (in Forest Park--lovely running): http://www.portlandtrailseries.com/
    Superfit runs in Bend: http://www.superfitproductions.com/
    Evergreen trail runs: http://www.evergreentrailruns.com/series
    Northwest trail runs: http://www.nwtrailruns.com/
    Steens rim run: http://www.blm.gov/or/districts/burns/recreation/steens_run.php

There are many others. These are just some of the better known series and runs.

Let me know if you want to know about Idaho. That's a whole 'nother list.

I have some running friends in Vancouver, and last year they went and did this in N Wash: http://sunmountaintrailraces.blogspot.com/

They said it's one of the prettiest races they had EVER done!

And I just found this when I was looking for the Sun Mountain info. Wow, great complete list! Make sure you select the "trail" filter if you search other areas.
