I'm looking for a good protein bar with the best protein/carb ratio. Can I get suggestions?

Quest because you can get 20 grams of protein for less than 200 calories depending on the flavor.

Quest by far... most tasty, all-natural bar I've found. No sugar, hi protein, hi fiber, lo carb. Delish, and I can't say that about many protein bars! Best flavors (in my book) coconut cashew, cookie dough, cinnamon bun!

Those are my favorite flavors too! I wish there was a company that made something other than sweet flavored protein bars. Since the surgery, I have kind of lost my taste for sweet things. If they can make a protein bar that tastes like cookie dough, it seems like it wouldn't be too hard to make a protein bar that tastes like bacon or pizza :-)

PowerCrunch bars are awesome... light and airy whereas most protein bars sit really heavy with me. about 200 calories, 14g protein, 10g carbs. Vanilla is heaven :) - they taste like vanilla sugar wafers

I usually order mine online from GNC when they have a 30% off sale. If you sign up for their emails you would be notified when they have 30% off.

It's the only thing I buy from GNC, but you can find them every once in while at other stores on sale. I try to get them for a dollar or less, and I buy a lot at a time.

If they get hard put them in the microwave, but make sure you take the wrapper off before nuking.

Right after you transition to solid foods. About 2 to 3 weeks. before that your protein suppliment comes from Shakes, powders and drinks.

I have found a few really good bars: Quest comes in a 170 calorie bar with nice protein levels. Pure Protein Plus and Met-Rx get you 29-30g protein with between 290 and 390 calories depending on flavor. Kliff Bars have a little more fat/carb content but deliver sustained energy when you really start working out. I am adding them in now as an occasional pre-workout energy bar since my "eat back" calories are really starting to add up and I need the energy to work out.
