Rachel And Last Night's BL

There was a thread on this in the main forum, which got buried. So I thought I'd bring it over here. Rachel won BL but has
been deeply criticized for losing too much weight. She went from 260 to 105, losing 155 pounds-60%of her body weight.
I understand the shock and criticism, but it has to be devastating to be put through the rotors like this when she has not
even had time to process it. Do I think she's too thin? Yes, because I could see her knee and elbow bones, especially
in the silver dress. I think she should reconnect with family and friends, see her MD about her best weight, and slowly
regain maybe 20 pounds so that she feels comfortable in her own skin. Not 100% sure but maybe this level of fame so
fast might be too much for her at only 24.
What do you think about Rachel and BL's training methods?

I haven't watched BL for the past several seasons, because I just couldn't get into the contestants. Too whiny, crying all the time. I saw pictures of Rachel, and she appears to be on the underweight side. But when you have people competing for a large sum of money based on who loses the most weight, I can't say I blame her for maybe taking it too far trying to be sure she won. She lost an astounding amount of weight, and she will likely regain a little once the pressure is off and bounce up to a healthier weight.0

Agree. I also think the people in social media who are pouncing on her for being "too thin" would also have been harping on her for being overweight before she started on her journey. Poor kid can't win for losing. She was motivated to lose that weight for money. Apparently she even switched to a part time job so she could take up to four hours of exercise classes a day. Extreme? Sure, but IMO so is weight loss surgery. It's not my body, it's hers. Ultimately she's the one who has to live with her choices, and seeing her that thin sure isn't making me want to weigh 100 pounds. I've read about people saying this sets an unhealthy example for teenagers, well, advertisers and Hollywood have already done that.0 -
Any time a woman is being judged 100% by her appearance and body, I get uncomfortable. You are right, she was judged for being overweight, and now she is being judged for being too thin.0
