When you are aiming to get LEAN, the amount, types and timing of your carbs is CRITICAL!

Ideally, you are keeping your carb levels at 30-40% of your overall calories. Protein should be 40-50%.

NOT all carbs are created equally. Most people have stored FAT due to eating too many carbs and LOW quality carbs.

The best carbs to eat:

Oatmeal/ steel cut oats
Brown rice/ wild rice
Black beans/lentils, kidney beans, black beans, peas, garbanzo beans and pinto beans
Sweet potatoes
Yams
Quinoa

These provide LONG-TERM, SLOW BURNING sources of energy
USE them in the morning or MID-DAY, NOT late at night. At least one time per day!

What about fruits?

When you are shooting for lean(weight loss), you are holding back some on too much fruit. Best time to have them? After a workout blended in with your recovery formula ( protein shake, shakeology or Results and Recovery drink).

What about bread?

Once again, you are trying to LIMIT bread consumption. Granted some brands like Ezekiel are health,y but do your best to limit these when the focus is on getting leaner.

If you are lacking energy it is because you are not getting at least one complex carb in EACH DAY!
