5 Day Pouch Test - Anyone tried this?

One of the members of my support group was talking about doing the five day pouch test last night. I had to leave when it was over, so I couldn't ask more questions of her. (Had to get the kids.) Anyway, have any of you tried this and what did you think? I have been on antibiotics several times lately and some bad carbs have slipped back into my diet to conquer the nausea. I need to break that cycle...
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Mel

It's a mini version of the post-op diet progression. 2-3 days liquid 1-2 days pureed, then back to 2-3oz lean protein. I have done it a couple of times to purge the carbs that sneak back in to my diet. It is a nice reminder of the rules we should be following, and it does help bring some of the restriction back that eating a lot of carbs tends to take away. I will search back in my dairy and see if I can find some examples of what I ate during the times I have done it.0

My average pouch test diet.
Liquids:
B- Coffee w/ Premier Protein shake
L- Syntrax Fuzzy Navel w/ Crystal light classic orange sunrise
D- Matrix Mint cookie w/ silk Light Vanilla Soy milk
Atkins SF stain glass Jello for snacks.
Pureed:
I still had my shake and coffee for breakfast (have almost every morning since surgery)
for meals - Egg salad / Tuna salad / Chicken salad made w/ greek yogurt
SF Jello or Light and fit greek yogurt for snack
Lots and lots of fluids I drink a lot of hot tea when doing a pouch test.
Then back to the 2-3oz lean protein after a week or so I will start adding back in some low carb veg.
Hope that helps0 -
Thank you so much Latse! I have been trouble getting logged back on with the computer -- can't figure out why, but my phone was working for daily stuff. Unfortunately, the app doesn't allow me to see this stuff. I wish it did!
Thank you again!
