Love me some Doctor Who (obviously,) pretty much any sci-fi, books (all of them,) and crafting. I don't know if crafting is considered geeky, but I definitely geek out over it, so I'm including it.

Ah, where to start! I love sci-fi, fantasy, video games, anime, reading, all sorts of good geeky stuff! I'm a huge Trekkie, love Firefly as well, of course. I was more into Star Wars as a kid but the original trilogy will always have a special place in my heart, of course. I play World of Warcraft, Civilization, Pokemon, DDR, and lots of random indie games. Currently reading A Song of Ice and Fire, but I'm only on book 2. I had to start it over because I took too long of a break from it. I don't read as much as I'd like. I've watched all of Game of Thrones, though. Favorite anime would probably be Clannad. Currently watching Anohana and Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Also I tend to ramble on about the stuff I like once you get me started. If that's not geeky I don't know what is, haha!

Going to my first anime convention this summer and I am SO EXCITED!

Oh and I didn't even mention music! I love pretty much all kinds of music but lately I've been delving into indie/twee pop.

I'm a big video game nerd; some of my favourites are the Legend of Zelda series, Final Fantasy series, Mass Effect trilogy, Dragon Age, World of Warcraft, and God of War, to name a few. I have a bachelor's degree in English literature, so I love to read and I'm not too picky about genre, though right now I'm reading Jack Whyte's A Dream of Eagles series. Some of my favourite TV shows are sci-fi and fantasy: Game of Thrones, Doctor Who, Firefly, and Sherlock, which, while it doesn't really fit into either of those categories, is totally a nerd show. For movies I adore Lord of the Rings, anything made by Hayao Miyazaki, Star Trek, and much more!

I watched the first episode of Sherlock and loved it! I just haven't had time to watch it again. I always have trouble finding time to sit and watch 45+ min shows for some reason. The 22 - 30 min. episode shows feel so much more flexible! Of course I always end up watching 2 or 3 so it'd be the same, but I *could* stop if I wanted to!

    Hi ladies!

I'm a big PC gamer - spent years playing WoW and GMing a raiding guild. I quit about a year back but am dipping my toes back in in anticipation of the next expansion. I love all MMOs in general and probably have played everything that's come out in the last 5 years or so. I'm also a huge Joss Whedon fan - especially Buffy and Dollhouse. Currently obsessed with Game of Thrones and reading the books a season behind the show. I've recently gotten into board games and have a great local group to play with.

edit: OH GOD how did I forget Harry Potter? I went on a HP-themed bar crawl at a convention years ago and it is one of my favorite memories!

I have a long, long list, haha. Here's a short version: Comics (DC- mostly Batman titles), Harry Potter, musicals, anime/manga, cosplay, GoT, Horror movies, Whedon-verse, some video games (FF, Kingdom Hearts, Red Dead, Bioshock).

oh yeah - where to start!?
I love, love, love harry potter! I was able to finally fly out to Florida with my husband in 2012 to go to Disneyworld and most importantly, the wizarding world of harry potter! I wanted to live there!!! everything about the park was perfect. the hogwarts castle was amazing. I got to experience (althought i wasnt picked) Ollivander's wand shop and the wand choosing the wizard/witch)everything was very detailed; looked just like the movie! and I couldnt get enough butterbeer!

I love Doctor Who. I'm rewatching the series over again (for like the 5-6th time). I loved Amy and Rory!
Thanks to my mother; I've loved Lord of the Rings since i was a child. I still haven't had a chance to see part 2 of the Hobbit. (hubby said he'd fally asleep in the movie, ugh!)
Then of course the classic Star Wars!!! I think my list can go on and on.

as for video games - my favorite character since the first play station 1 came out (what? 1995??) has been Lara Croft from the Tomb Radier series. Love her and the games!
I love all the Elder Scroll series too. Bioshock! I used to be a die-hard WoW player. I sort of fell off that for a while.

okay, enough of my rambling. my list can go on and on. :p

You name I most likely have dabbled in it or full out geek out about it. I'm a Whovian and a Sherlockian, a huge bookworm, I knit like crazy, and I have been a gamer of all sorts. ^_^ Now if I could just find a geeky guy who isn't just looking for a sugar mama I'd be golden. :P

    I'm on Pottermore!
    Ravenclaw Reprazent, yo.

I love books (Kage Baker, Terry Pratchett, Elizabeth Peters, etc.), games (Portal, Psychonauts, Sims, WoW), RPGs (Dread, NWOD, OWOD, HEX), and everything pre-1800. :D

At this exact moment I'm listening to Heavenly (not the French metal band as Spotify seems to think!). I also really like Tiger Trap, Rocketship, The Field Mice, and newer stuff like Camera Obscura. I'm still learning what exactly twee is, so I apologize if anything I named doesn't qualify or if I'm leaving a big one out, haha! I've listened to Belle & Sebastian in the past, and I generally love quirky indie stuff like the Decemberists and so on!

It feels really weird to call the Decemberists "indie" but I'm always surprised by how many people haven't heard of them! They're such a big name, in my mind.

Oh and I guess I should mention, I have this HUGE list of bands that I'm still working through, so I'm sure there will be a lot more that I like in there! I pretty much just picked out every band name in this article: http://pitchfork.com/features/articles/6176-twee-as-****/ (the asterisks are the "f word" since MFP is so PG, haha),

    Whats twee ?

Indie-pop with a low-fi sound (usually) and sweet or cutesy lyrics. Twee is kinda slang/baby-talk for "sweet". Sort of the opposite of punk in terms of theme, haha. For example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FA56sXaQi28

Mostly Harry Potter, Doctor Who, Torchwood, Firefly and BUFFY. Buffy is the most amazing show ever ;-) I even wrote my final thesis about Buffy.

I've started watching Star Trek but I really can't get interested in Star Wars. I enjoy Sherlock but I'm not nerding out about it. I read far too much fanfiction for my own good. I don't game at all. Love all things Tolkien and have been in love with A Song of Ice and Fire for years.

I think Star Wars is one of those things you have to get into as a kid to really fall in love with. Star Trek is aimed a bit more at adults. They're really completely different! Star Wars is more like fantasy set in space (or "space opera"), and Star Trek is pure sci-fi.

I've only watched the first Sherlock episode so far, but I really liked it! Though, it kind of surprised me how long it took him to figure out who the killer was. I got it at least 40 minutes before he did, and I assumed he'd already figured it out when he was finally like, "A-ha!" Perhaps they wanted to make the audience feel smart, haha.

You should definitely check out that Pitchfork article! A lot of the bands listed there are really great. The writer even gives specific song examples at the very end, though I'm listening to entire albums where I can. I'm making a playlist on Spotify for my favorites. Here's a link if you want to see it: http://goo.gl/KFDbtG

That's really cool that you're in a band! Do you guys have your music online anywhere?

I'm pretty sure I've listened to some Of Montreal but not extensively. Another band I've loved for ages that I just realized is probably twee is Eisley! Room Noises is an amazing album. I'll check out your band now!!

Nim that is an awesome derby name!! That's so cool that you do rollerderby! Have you seen the movie Whip It? Good stuff!

I got into derby when my youngest was 1.5 yo (about 9 months ago) and I ahve never looked back. Alot of the girls are also Whovians so that makes it even more fun. If you are interested look up roller derby in your area and you may be surprised at a rec league or a small start up. It is GREAT exercise and so much fun!!

I love D&D and table top gaming. My favorite accessory had got to be a d20. This is probably because I have sever motion sickness and games released in the last like ten years is a no go. I also enjoy LARPing, anime, and funny geeky books. Oh and carving my own minis out of wood.

I really wish I had a group to play D&D with again! I miss it. I still have all my dice and minis and maps and fun stuff. Unfortunately the city I live in is super lame and not very geek friendly.

That's awesome Raven!! You should totally go for it! It looks like so much fun. I don't even know how to skate. :(
