Hello Everyone

I am new here and have a silly question. It's pretty Silly but nevertheless been wondering. When I fill out my exercises everyday, I see the aerobic exercises burn calories. I am sure my weight training exercises also do but they are not counted. How does one get a ball park figure for even just their light days of how many calories are burned Total.

Thanks...

Weight training is an anaerobic activity. The calories you burn are much lower than you would think. A lot of it will depend on if you are doing low rep/heavy weight or high rep/light weight, rest time, super sets etc. it's pretty insignificant.

MFP's numbers I think are on the high side.

I'd just log your cardio and think of the weight training as bonus burns.

Thanks Steve. On my light days I do cardio with weights training for reps and on my harder days I actually do cardio seperate during the day and then workout with minimal reps and weight. Trying to loose weight after bypass surgery but also want to see some definition which I am slowly but surely.
