Pre-Workout Meal?

Apologies if we've already talked about this (I feel like we have, but I couldn't find it), but for those of you who work out in the mornings, do you eat before? What do you eat? I vaguely recall something in the nutrition guide advising to do it on an empty stomach, and that is what I do. But I've had a couple of days here and there that I've been crazy dizzy during or after the workout and I assume that has something to do with it.
I'm a super super picky eater so I won't do supplements or shakes of any kind, but wondering whether I should be eating before I workout, what are good things to have, and how long do I have to wait after eating before I work out?
I'd love to hear what you guys think.

When I was eating at a large deficit I would totally bonk during workouts. I started eating just a bit of oatmeal or peanut butter before workouts when that was happening/0

I don't workout first thing in the morning, but when I run half marathons I will eat a banana and a bagel, or some oatmeal about 90 minutes prior to the race.

I take shakes and suppliments lol. Seriously when I need a kick of energy I take a carb supp that is pure carbs...goes right to the muscles and i burn it all off during the workout so it's like free carbs. Same concept as Gels that distance runners and cyclists use(I use them for cycling too).
If you're doing food you would want food high on the glycemic index to give that burst of energy right away.0 -
I do not work out at the morning, but I do low(er) carb and to fuel my workout I have been advised to eat at least 30 g carb prior to workout, and at least 20 g after. Also fat slows digestion, so avoid in the preworkout. Meal because you want those carb to be available right away.
I would drink a banana milkshake or something like that which is lots of carb and get digested right away.0
