Being strong is awesome because....

How has being stronger impacted your life? Lets share in this thread :)

For me, being stronger is awesome because...

yesterday I was at a birth (I am a midwife) and my client really couldn't get up off the bathroom floor. Maybe she could have, but she really didn't want to. So, I picked her up and carried her to where she wanted to go, no problem :D

Also, my midwifery bag feels light which it really isn't.

My posture is better

Your turn!

The guys at work don't step in for me when there is something heavy to carry.

I can carry my 5 year old with no problems.

I can do tire flips like the guys in the boxing class.

I feel more confident about myself.

I can carry two empty trash cans down my 900 foot driveway without stopping to put them down.

I don't have to rely on someone else to help with tasks involving functional strength.

I only need to take one trip from the car when taking in the groceries.

I can carry my sleeping five year old up the stairs without it being a problem.

I can lift the bottles onto our water cooler without having someone do it for me.

My husband kids me about being stronger than he is (I totally am, these days).

And that grocery thing someone else mentioned! One trip, baby!

I can carry things around for my family and myself that would have been a struggle a few months back!

Shoveling and digging my car out of the snow isn't so bad anymore!

Carrying my own body around is so much easier too :)

Super easy to get a bag of dog food scanned at the grocery store.

Extra core strength makes it easier to stabilize when you're putting big boxes on the top shelf of storage.

I can drag preteen out of bed in the morning.

My hubby isn't afraid to ask me to help moving furniture, wood or other heavy things.

I can run up and down our stairs several times without getting tired.

My son (26) is impressed when I brag about my lifting weights. Even if they are much lower than his.

My husband can't keep his hands off me.
