Since I follow a gluten-free/almost paleo diet, some of my recipes aren't considered "healthy" by calorie counters. I don't advocate for or against any diet because everyone is different and so are our bodies.
Tonight I made seared pork chops with creamed spinach, mushrooms and shallots. This isn't paleo because of the dairy though. It was a total crowd pleaser - even my niece and nephew (3 & 5) loved the mushrooms & spinach!!
Did you know that some oils are not high-heat stable? I didn't know that either. For example, olive oil should only be used on salads or to saute on lower heat. I now use avocado oil (I get it at Costco) to do my high-heat cooking.
