Tip of the day-Post workout nutrition

Did you know that it is recommended that we eat about 30 minutes after we work out? I know that a lot of us have the mindset that we don't want to undo the calories we just burned off. However, getting a combination of 10-15 grams of protein and 20-30 grams of carbs within 30 minutes after your workout will help refuel your body, promote muscle recovery, amp your energy and build a lean body. Plus, eating right after you workout will help your energy to get you through the rest of your day. If you workout in the evenings...I still recommend the above as it will help curb your appetite. As said before, curbing your appetite prior to your next meal will help you make better food choices as you won't be as hungry. Enjoy your Monday!
