arthritis and lifting

Does anyone have arthritis? I have it in my hip along with some labral degeneration. I'm feeling pretty tight since starting these workouts. My physio couldn't believe how tight I was after only a couple sessions of lifting. I'm going to do dumbell squats tomorrow and hold them at my side so I'm not loading too much on my hip and see if that that helps. Anyone else have any experience?

Sorry, no experience with arthritis, but I like to use a foam roller to help loosen things up. I wonder if that would work?

My mother thinks that I have arthritis in my left hip. When I sit for long periods of time and get up to walk, it hurts. When I sleep and lay on it, it hurts. When the weather is cold, it hurts more. When I lift, no problem I don't have any pain there.

Yes, the foam roller is my best friend and my ultimate enemy lol. I foam roll every day.
