hi, all.
I have been on MFP since last summer (a little on and off) and have lost 20lbs. I have been doing a lot of research and have determined that weight lifting is key for success in transforming the body. I am definitely ready to ramp up my efforts and get some results. I came across the 5x5 program and it seems like a good intro to lifting. I'm excited about where this is going to take me and looking to make some buddies along the way!

Welcome! I am also new - started this specific program 6 weeks ago or so. One awesome thing about heavy lifting is that I think most people see strength results *fast*. You will feel so strong!
I am glad I took someones advice and took some mirror pictures of myself when I started. I am only down a little over 10 pounds but I took some pictures to compare last night - I look super different. Very encouraging, even as I face down the craving/grumpy PMS beast today.0 -
