"They say motivation does't last, neither does bathing. That's why we recommend them daily." -Unknown
When you first start a weight loss program you may feel excited and motivated for the first week. However, over time, you may start to lose intrinsic motivation and fall back into your old habits. One of the most challenging things about weight loss is finding that motivation and KEEPING it for the whole duration. Here are some tips to help you get back into that weight loss MINDSET!
**SET GOALS** write down a goal for yourself on a sticky note and put it on the mirror in the bathroom or some place you will see it every morning. 'I will lose 10 pounds by June 1st." This constant reminder of what got you started in the first place will help refocus your mind every day.
**BIGGER THAN YOU** Think about all the things you can do without your excess weight. Playing with your grandchildren or children, living a long and healthy life, walk your daughter down the isle. What ever it is that pulls a heart sting, think of THAT! You want to be healthy for yourself, but there are others in need of a healthy YOU TOO!
**POSITIVE THINKING** Picture yourself in that bikini, or looking great at that reunion. Visualizing yourself as a happier, healthier you will motivate you each day to stay on track. You will be surprised by the power of positive thinking. You CAN do it!!
Every morning find the strength within you to feel the motivation for the day! The weight is not just going to melt off, so remind yourself that this takes time, strength, and self-love. You do have it in you to make it happen. You WILL make it happen!
Find that motivation for today, and press the reset button EVERY DAY!!
