Favorite TV shows?

I watch a bunch, but I need to find something to tide me over when my shows are not on (although they're all coming back next week and I've been pretty hooked with Suits lately, but I'll need something to watch this Summer). I'll spare you the (long) list of what I'm already watching, I have Amazon Prime but will reactivate Netflix at some point when Orange is the New Black is back.

So... suggestions?

I have a ton of favorite shows. Right now I'm counting down the days until Game of Thrones comes back. Then after that it's the final season of True Blood. My husband and I are watching Breaking Bad together. I also love King of the Hill, Friends, The IT Crowd, OITNB, Glee (reluctantly), Dracula, Once Upon a Time, uhhhh...Fawlty Towers...there's just a lot of stuff I watch lol. Netflix is my friend.

No, if you've seen Sherlock, watch Elementary!

(I have to admit I freaking hated Sherlock. Somehow ponderous, tedious, hipstery and cliched all at the same time, and so insufferably pleased with itself. Quite an achievement in tv awfulness.)

Sarah Connor Chronicles had a fantastic two seasons, if you like more thoughtful, slightly weird stuff.

Once Upon A Time has really grown on me lately - it doesn't make a lick of sense and is completely ridiculous, but it knows it and has tons of fun with it.

I'm very fond of Big Bang Theory as well, occasionally despite my better judgement. There's a sad, bitter, marvelously clear-eyed undercurrent there, next to the laughter, that I find irresistable.

For oldies but goodies, I can never recommend Northern Exposure or Remington Steele enough.

How about Spaced? It's a tv show that Simon Pegg did before Shaun of the Dead. I'd also add Avatar: The Last Airbender to the list. It's fantastic (ignore M Night's movie, I never saw it but I hear it's terrible).
  • Right now my top favorite shows would be Once Upon a Time and American Horror Story. I used to be a huge Doctor Who and Supernatural fan, but I've kinda missed a lot of seasons of both of them, but I plan to catch up eventually!

I don't think anyone has mentioned it, but my favorite show right now is The Blacklist. It's not sci-fi at all, but the acting is superb. James Spader is just phenomenal.

The Blacklist is fun when it's on its game...sometimes it gets a little draggy for my taste though.
