New to VSGers - looking for meal plan tips

I had the VSG surgery 12/23/13, so I'm 2 months out, and I can eat regular food for the most part. I just started reaching my protein goals recently (100g...the nutritionist said protein goals go by height, and I'm tall). I'm looking for sample meal plans - what you eat and how much of it throughout the day. I want to start introducing veggies/fruit/grains and I can't wait to have some sort of grain, but I'm nervous that it will stir up cravings for bread or pasta, etc. I know that these food groups are necessary though, so if you have some time can you please send me a 1 day sample diet??? Thanks so much in advance. PS - I just joined this group and I'm so happy to have found you all!!!

Careful!!! if you are like me and wheat, rice and potato are your Kryptonite foods...I wouldn't go back to them. VSG does not cure food addiction. I have left wheat, rice and potato in the dust. There are plenty of other healthier starches that are not my Kryptonite foods. I know a person whose VSG failure started with 1 whole wheat saltine cracker. My local Kroger stocks chickpea flour, almond meal, spelt flour, coconut flour, buckwheat flour etc. All of which are far lower carb and higher protein than wheat. they are also not as addictive. They have a more complex flavor and lower glycemic impact on your blood sugar. Wheat, rice and potato are addictive because within seconds of touching your tongue your blood sugar starts to rise. They are also bland so you can eat them for hours-that's why people eat piles of mashed white potato but rarely more than 1/2 c of sweet potato. My food diary is open so feel free to look at what I eat. Please note that when you see a Lean Cuisine it says half portion -cause I only eat the meat and veg and toss the noodles, rice and potato that are invariably in the dish. I have lost about 62 lbs in 94 days. Good luck0
