Did end up having to go to ER for several hours and just got home. Put my on IV to help with hydration, x-rays, oxygen, RX's that I know work. I did have a shot and prescription for "Steroids". I again questioned this possibility with my post-op surgical appointment 2/20 and the response was "no steroids no matter what my pulmonologist said and that it greatly impact any weight loss.
In the ER I took with me my last report from 2/20, pointed this out to Drs. as I also have laryngitis (which is also not new) and asked if there was a substitute for steroids. Unfortunately, the answer was no and if my surgeon had a problem she could contact them. I sent a message through MyChart that I had to have steroid shot and 4-50 strength tablets just to make her aware. My lung issues and treatment plan has been noted to all Drs. and staff from the initial meeting throughout my surgical process, so this is no surprise.
Now, going to rest and still trying to adhere as close as possible to 5 - 6 small meals/intake and hydrate to the best of my ability.
Everyone, have a good weekend.

Karen,
I'm sorry to hear that you were not feeling well. I surely am praying that you start to feel better. It is good that you gave all the information to all Dr.s. Please get you some rest, take care of yourself so you can start to heal. Please be sure to get your fluids in no matter how bad you feel, especially to prevent dehydration and try to get your proteins in. Feel better my sister and God bless.0 -
Thank you for your kind words of encouragement. I am still getting my protein in, usually over in that area. Fluids have been more difficult. I'm a big water drinker usually, but today not so much. Need to work on fluid intake tomorrow0
