Strength Training for Weight Loss?

Here’s a secret, resistance training is the KEY to weight loss!

You may be asking, how? Well here’s a little science behind it..

Cardiovascular exercise like walking, running, or using the elliptical are great, but will only burn fat and calories WHILE you’re working out.

Strength training exercise don’t burn as many calories while you are preforming the exercise, BUT you will burn more calories and fat AFTER.. for up to 72 hours after a strength workout, your metabolic rate will be increased, causing you to BURN!!

How can I add more strength into my workouts?

Come to group exercise classes at CH Fitness Center! I teach Monday and Wednesdays PUMP-IT-UP 4:30-5:15.
Grab some dumbbells and do basic exercises:
Bicep curls, chest press, squats, lunges, up-right row, deltoid raise, THE LIST GOES ON!
