Hey there fellow Buckeyes! My name is Cali, I am a 30 year old mother of three, our youngest JUST turned 1. I started my journey at 95lbs in Dec.(my birthday the 12th to be exact). I am only 5'2" and it is the heaviest I have ever been in my life (including 9 months pregnant three times). So as I walked out of the dr. office that day I was set, I had lost weight before. It was breastfeeding cravings that I struggled with, I would binge and eat all kinds of things I knew better than to eat. With our 3rd child I suffered from a separated pelvis, I would not wish that on anyone. As a server I was on my feet anyway, so around 5 months I eventually cut out running, then around 6 months all weight training and pretty much any time on my feet that I didn't have to be for work or my other two children. I modified my food so I didn't blow up. By the time our son was born I not only had a separated pelvis but a cracked rib or two. The ribs healed up pretty quickly, but I kept re-aggravating my pelvis issues. I finally talked to my dr. about it, and saw a physical therapist, I was finally fully back on my feet around the end of Oct. but I did nothing. Until I stepped on that scale in Dec.
First I started changing my eating habits, it is amazing what you can do by simply paying attention to what you are putting into your mouth. Then in January I started T25, but the end of Jan I was doing both T25 and weight training. I now own a scale and I am down to 177lbs. Small victories right? I have 47 more lbs to go, but it's a great start.
So that is a little bit about my journey so far.

  • Hi neighbor! I'm just north of you in Avon. I've seen another NR member here, and a couple of people from Elyria, so the area is somewhat represented.

    Welcome aboard,

Welcome, when I first started reading your post you stated that you started at 95lbs and I was thinking "Why does she want to lose weight that is very small" but I figured it out later. I commend you for your effort and it's great to hear you are taking action to become healthier! Best of luck to you!

I'm in Akron, but I'll be up your way a few times this summer. My daughter plays travel softball and has some tournaments in NR
