Looking to move near Knoxville. Advice?

Hello everyone! My name is Ivan and I am currently living in the suburbs of Chicago but am considering moving near the Knoxville area. I am looking for a place which provides a slower pace of life compared to that which the Chicago suburbs provides and a better climate. I have never been there but I will be visiting in the next few months and have high expectations. Gatlinburg looks like a dream come true with all of the nature, mountains and cabins, definitely my kind of scenery. Any suggestions on towns nearby that I should consider checking out while I'm there? Id like something within an hour of the airport but nearby good outdoors activities like biking, hiking, hunting, and water. Thanks
