pushups

Just curious, does anyone do pushups as an accessory to heavy lifting? Didn't know if I should try working on these

    I use them mostly as warm-ups these days, except when I'm doing workout DVDs and they're in the circuit. Or when I do the body weight gauntlet every month to assess progress. They're a really functional move and do translate to your BP and even a bit to OHP (esp. the close grip push-ups). I just figure while I'm in the gym I might as well use the equipment because push-ups I can do anywhere, lol!

    I don't do them simply because they're hands down my LEAST favorite exercise (yes that's admittedly an excuse, but oh well). As far as accessory lifts I do for the chest (I think that's what you're asking) I like Dumbbell Chest Press & Cable or Dumbbell Flyes.

    Yah I don't do them anymore unless it's to shame my son or nephew...hehe

    the only accessory things i do atm is HIIT and chin ups
