I missed a day due to illness and now my regular lifting buddy and I are off on the program. we're still semi early in ( week 4, day 11) . would it be a horrible idea to do both A & B today so that I we can get back on track?

You CAN do it, but it might prove to be a lot of work and you'll probably feel a bit rundown afterwards. I'd go a good bit lighter on the rows and overhead press and tack 'em on at the end IF and only IF you still got juice then. (So do squats, bench press, deadlift, ohp, rows).

BP and OHP as well as deadlift and rows will work similar muscle groups. You want to do the ones that hit the hardest per say first, and THEN do more if you got it in you.

But I'm a bit of a crazy gal and I run myself down sometimes with plans like these, even though they sound logical. Lotta people will tell you just do the one your partner's at and keep rolling the progression afterwards.

In fact, if you missed a workout due to illness, I'd go easy on this one and just call the workout you missed a skip. It's probably the safe and smart thing to do xD

I wouldn't do it personally...I've missed days (even a full week on vacation) and I just pick up where I left off...

Doing both workouts in one day you will miss a set of squats and DL's can be hard on a body and you may have issues if you are tuckered after doing all the exercises for both.

Thanks guys! I think your right. I'll just stick to the one. sounds like we may not lift together today anyway. I'm still feeling a bit under the weather and I pushed myself pretty hard last night so... yeah one is probably a better plan.
