Bench press for newbie

I'm starting this program and feel comfortable with all the moves except the bench press. My PT never did these with me and I'm a total newb with them.
I plan to start just with the Olympic bar - will I need a spotter? I'm new to my gym too, PT was at a private club.
Any other tips please hit me!

Youtube videos are good.... Definitely look up the roll of shame on youtube before lifting without a spotter. I bench press without one most times and have done this twice. Oh well.
Mainly, I lift lighter than I would otherwise.

Yep, watch form videos, start with the bar. If it's too heavy, regress to dumbbells or a fixed weight bar that's lighter to begin with. But I'd say the need for a spotter comes later. The bar alone should be relatively easy to roll off of yourself if you fail a rep.0
