OK , might as well have fun with technology. . I looked for some apps, found one about tips on dieting, most we all know. They referred to counting steps, that it does not matter if you do the walking all at once and to get a pedometer. So, I looked for an iphone app, and got one called Pacer. You can just put it in your pocket ,purse, wrist. and begin it . In the Exercise tips, it said we have to take 10,000 steps for five miles give or take some depending on stride. so cutting it in half etc etc.
I am going to give it a whirl tomorrow and see how it works.
Two tips on charging and keeping a charge on your iphone. put it on airplane mode to charge it and it will charge twice as fast, and keeping it that mode will keep the charge longer, although you will not get calls. I am not sure how the pedometer work in respect to that, but will let you know tomorrow. The app, was free. If you don't have an iphone then a pedometer will do . It is sort of a fun experiement to see how many steps we actually take each day. You might just want to go about your normal day and compare it to scheduled walks as a companion for about half an hour a day. See if that jumps it up .
